Dear Steve,

My credit score is 560–590 depending. I’m age 65, and before next year I want my score to be above 700.

I have one major item that I need to purchase this year, and that’s a hot tub. I used your program before, and this time I will not return to a score below 750 once I get it there.

I have been married for 44 years and am sick of having a low credit score.

What does your get out of debt program cost for me?

Anthony

Answer:

Dear Anthony,

Since I don’t sell any programs or services, I’m not quite sure what you are referring to with that.

But suppose you participated in some debt relief program in the past and now find yourself back in the same position. In that case, there must be some underlying lack of income or continued expenses that are not manageable.

That situation sounds as if it was never addressed since it is relatively easy to rebuild good credit, see this.

I hope you reached out to me for advice you need to hear to have a more prosperous future. What I’m about to say is what you need to hear.

If you want your credit score to be better, there is no magic solution. If you pay someone in hopes they can make lousy credit disappear, there is no guarantee it will. Forget about the fact is you use a modified credit report, you are committing credit fraud.

My guide will show you how to rebuild your credit score quickly without buying any program.

I’m concerned you are 65-years-old with a credit score in the toilet and maybe little in the way of retirement savings. That scares the hell out of me.

You might be so screwed that buying the hot tub isn’t going to make a damn bit of difference, so, sure, buy a hot tub.

It is not clear you have too much debt or just a bad credit score from what you shared. If you are drowning in debt and want it to go away legally and without tax consequences, think about a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. You can find a good local bankruptcy attorney and have a free discussion about what bankruptcy would mean for you. Bankruptcy is the fastest way to get a fresh start for the least money.

If you filed a bankruptcy today, you could have great credit again within a year.

It’s your call. Continue to limp around or deal aggressively with the underlying issues and get a fresh start.

Please post in the comments what you decide to do.

You are not alone. I’m here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don’t give up.
